The aim of the HUET program is to prepare delegates that intend to travel by helicopter by providing specific training in pre- flight and in-flight requirements and to equip delegates with the basic emergency response knowledge and skills required in the event of a helicopter emergency – with the specific focus on escaping from a helicopter following ditching. HUET training is a one-day safety course for those traveling by helicopter. 

The objectives of the HUET Training are that delegates will be able to: 

(a) Demonstrate, in a simulated environment, that they can use the safety equipment, and follow procedures in preparing for, and during helicopter emergencies – with the particular focus on escaping from a helicopter following ditching.

Important: There are physical and mental aspects of this training including training in a water and enclosed spaces. 

Course includes additional training in Norwegian Transit Suit & Emergency Breathing System according to North Sea Mutual Acceptance of Basic Safety and Emergency Preparedness Training Memorandum.

When travelling by helicopter to and from offshore installations in the UK and the Netherlands passengers will also need a CA-EBS certificate. It is to be expected that the Danish sector will follow soon.

The Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System (CA-EBS) Initial Deployment training programme is designed for personnel travelling to or from offshore installations/vessels via helicopter where a Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System will be provided for use in the case of an emergency ditching. The Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System (CA-EBS) Initial Deployment training programme provides the delegate with the knowledge and understanding of the particular hazards and properties of a Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System (CA-EBS) and appropriate emergency response actions to take should the requirement for emergency use arise.

Delegate pre-requisites for the: No pre-requisites are required.

Health: The course may involve a degree of physical and mental stress. Therefore delegates will be required to complete a Medical Screening Form prior to the commencement of the course. The delegate should be in possession of a valid medical certificate if their health is in doubt.

Medical Information: Please note that some aspects of the training course are of a physical nature and that it is the responsibility of the trainee and/or the company sponsoring the trainee to ensure the trainee is able to complete the course without any adverse effect on their present state of health.

NB ! If you need Offshore Medical Fitness Certificate, you can get Norwegian Certificate of Medical Fitness issued on behalf of Helsedirektoratet (Norway) now in Tallinn. This Certificate is accepted by UK and NL as OGUK medical certificate. Please contact us for more information.

Course fee excludes OPITO registration fee (30 EUR + 12 EUR) and VAT. 

Course fee includes 1 day hotel fee (3 star hotel), breakfast in hotel, car parking lot at the hotel, lunch, coffee/tea and course material.
