Course/event Title: WATER SURVIVAL TRAINING FOR AIRCREWS AND DESIGNATED FLYING PERSONNEL (NATO STANDARD APRP-3.3.7.1), SERE - SURVIVAL, ESCAPE/EVASION, RESISTANCE AND EXTRACTION (SERE) TRAINING

Reference to standard: APRP-3.3.7.1

The aim of the course is to provide a minimum training of various aspects of water survival training for aircrews and designated flying personnel in a permissive environment. This training will contain a water survival initial course (WSIC) provided to designated flying personnel. Course can be combined with  Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET) and a theoretical and practical understanding of the compressed air Helicopter Underwater Emergency Breathing Apparatus (HUEBA). The course may be part of SERE - SURVIVAL, ESCAPE/EVASION, RESISTANCE AND EXTRACTION (SERE) TRAINING STANDARD (Part Maritime SERE training).

The course may involve a degree of physical and mental stress. Therefore delegates will be required to complete a Medical Screening Form prior to the commencement of the course. The delegate should be in possession of a valid medical certificate if their health is in doubt.
