STCW 2010 FAST RESCUE BOAT TRAINING (COMBINED PRACTICAL TRAINING & DIGITAL DELIVERY)

Course/event Title: PROFICIENCY IN FAST RESCUE BOATS TRAINING

Reference to standard: STCW 1978 as amended. Code A-VI/2-2. IMO Model course 1.24.

This course provides training in fast rescue boats (FRB) and is based on the provisions of chapter A-VI/2 table A-VI/2-2 of the STCW Code. Course content in accordance to the Model course 1.24. 

This course covers training in the mandatory minimum requirements for the issue of certificates of proficiency in fast rescue boar. as specified in STCW Code. Course participants will be competent to operate fast rescue boat during or after launch. 

They will also be able to operate a fast rescue boat engine and manage survivors and fast rescue boat after abandoning ship. Participants will know the correct use of all locating devices, including communication and signalling apparatus and pyrotechnics, how to apply first aid to survivors and the actions to take to preserve the lives of those in charge.

Instructions for logging in to the online training and a notification about the activation of the training modules will be sent to you by e-mail by Viking Safety Academy on the morning of the first training day from 09.00 to 10.00. Take the online course on your own, you will need to come to the Reval Training Center on the second day of the training for practical training and a written test.

Learning Schedule: The first day is for online self learning. The second and third day is practical training and written test, start at 09.00 in our training center.

Approval: Course is approved by Estonian Maritime Administration
