AIRCRAFT CREW FIRE SAFETY TRAINING

Course/event Title: AIRCRAFT FLIGHT AND CABIN CREW INITIAL, ANNUAL, AND RECURRENT FIRE TRAINING

Reference to standard: Acceptable Means of Compliance (AMC) and Guidance Material (GM) to Annex III [Part-ORO] of Commission Regulation (EU) 965/2012 on air operations

The training course is tailor-made half day fire safety course for aircraft crews. In the training, the crew learns or refreshes the skills on firefighting and how to escape from smoke filled room. Helicopter & aircraft model can be adjusted for different types of escape options as well seat setups depending on the type of aircraft.Yearly training module shall include handling of fire extinguishers as well using of smoke hoods.3 yearly training may include the actual fire fighting, effects of smoke in an simulated aircraft environment and enclosed area and actual use of relevant equipment. Fire scenarios may include cockpit fire, passengers seat fire, overhead locker fire, trolley fire, owen fire, engine fire, fuel tank exposion and fuel oil spill.

Course is based on AMC1 ORO.FC.220 Operator conversion training and checking. (c) (2) (iv); AMC1 ORO.FC.230 Recurrent training and checking.
