Escape chutes provide a means of safe emergency escape that permits rapid, evacuation from high structures such as offshore platforms, wind turbines and vessels during life-threatening emergencies.  This training course provides delegates with knowledge of the variety of escape chute systems used offshore and the knowledge and skill to enter correctly the chute, descend an escape chute safely, correctly exiting the chute in the event of an emergency. 

This is a 1,5-hour course in which delegates will gain an understanding of how escape chutes are used as a means of tertiary escape from offshore installations, wind turbines and vessels providing basic skills in the use of a typical escape chute used offshore and wind turbines.

The course is for all personnel involved in working on offshore platforms, drilling rigs or vessels globally, particularly in the Norwegian Sector. This is an additional training to OPITO BOSIET & HUET & FOET training based on North Sea Mutual Acceptance of Basic Safety and Emergency Preparedness Training Memorandum.

This course will involve some form of physical activity; therefore a good general standard of fitness is required in order to participate. You will also be required to complete a medical fitness questionnaire.

Successful delegates are issued with an Reval Marine & Offshore Training certificate. Certificate valid for 4 years and aligned with the validity of BOSIET, HUET or FOET certifcates.

Important: VAT 22% is always payable if training fee is paid by private person. In case training fee will be paid by EU company with VAT number, the VAT 0% will be applied (reverse charge).  

Course is approved by Estonian Maritime Administration.
