STCW 2010 ADVANCED FIRE FIGHTING REFRESHER TRAINING

Course/event Title: ADVANCED FIRE FIGHTING REFRESHER TRAINING

Reference to standard: STCW 1978 as amended 2010 Code A-VI/3 § 6

All seafarers are required to update their knowledge every 5 years for Advanced Fire Fighting through participation in refresher training in accordance with STCW. Of course, all trainings are conducted in our typical state-of-the-art and high quality performance with its focus on practical elements throughout the course duration. 

Content: 

Knowledge, understanding and proficiency in accordance with IMO Model Course 2.03: 

Control fire-fighting operations aboard ship; 

Organize and train fire parties; 

Inspect and service fire detection and extinguishing systems and equipment; 

Investigate and compile reports on incidents involving fire. 

During the training exercises are conducted with actual fire, in dark and enclosed spaces.

Before the practical training you need to take appropriate refersher e-learning covering partly the trainig subjects. The e-learing instructions shall be sent to you 1 day before the training date, normally at about 09.00. 

On completion of training certificate of training will be issued. For certificate of proficiency an application must be made to the Transport Agency bureau on Heli street 6, Tallinn or though Seafarers Information System.

Course is approved and certificate shall be issued by Estonian Transport Agency.
