BRM (BRIDGE RESOURCE MANAGEMENT) AND Maritime Crew Resource Management training course in accordance to theSTCW 2010 Code section A-II/1 - Application of Leadership and Teamworking skills on operation level) and STCW Code Section A-II/2 - Use of Leadership and Managerial skills on the management level. The course is divided into two parts, 1,5 days theoretical training and 1,5 days on navigation full mission simulator including integrated radio communication simulator for practicing the knowledge and skills learned during theoretical training.

The BRM & Maritime Resource Management Course is a further development of the original SAS Bridge Resource Management Course.
The course is to change attitudes - by a better co-ordination of the skills, the knowledge, experiences and resources available to the crew to accomplish or achieve the established goals of safety and efficiency.
The participants will learn by means of lectures, discussion, computer based training with the following course subjects: Situation Awareness, Cultural Awareness, Communication and Briefings, Challange and Response, Human Errors, Teamwork, Decision Making, Stress Management and Managements of Unexpected Events.
Objectives: To motivate the crew and to support a change of attitude and increased knowledge about human and technical resources in an operational maritime environment. This includes understanding of the importance of good management and teamwork and the willingness to change behaviour.
Approval: Course is approved by Estonian Maritime Administration
