Course content is based on IMO Model courses Application of Leadership and Teamworking skills on operation level (IMO Model course 1.39); Use of Leadership and Managerial skills (IMO Model course 1.40) and IMO Model course 2.07 (Engine room simulator).
Simulation are conducted on dual fuel engine room simulators consisting of a complete mimic panels of all machinery on modern ships including propulsion, bunkering, power generation, pollution prevention and cargo related equipments. It includes a automatic data logging facility to monitor the actions of candidates.
This course aims to provide knowledge and skills to operate, supervise and monitor safe operation and control of ship's machinery installation in accordance with the requirements laid down in STCW code as amended in 2010 Regulation I/12 and STCW code B-I/12.It also helps to understand team behavior and roles of personnel engaged in engine room watches.
Certificate: certificate of successful completion of Engine Resource Management and Engine Room Simulator course, operational level or management level as applicable.
