BRM (BRIDGE RESOURCE MANAGEMENT) training course in accordance to the STCW 2010 Code section A-II/1 - Application of Leadership and Teamworking skills on operation level) and STCW Code Section A-II/2 - Use of Leadership and Managerial skills on the management level. The course is divided into two parts theoretical training navigation simulator training for practicing the knowledge and skills learned during theoretical training.

Use of Leadership and Managerial skills according to IMO Model course 1.40

The course is to change attitudes - by a better co-ordination of the skills, the knowledge, experiences and resources available to the crew to accomplish or achieve the established goals of safety and efficiency.

Objectives: To motivate the crew and to support a change of attitude and increased knowledge about human and technical resources in an operational maritime environment. This includes understanding of the importance of good management and teamwork and the willingness to change behaviour.
