STCW 2010 ADVANCED FIRE FIGHTING (COMBINED PRACTICAL TRAINING & DIGITAL DELIVERY)

Course/event Title: ADVANCED FIRE FIGHTING TRAINING

Reference to standard: STCW 1978 as amended 2010 Code A-VI/3. IMO Model course 2.03.

Course content in accordance to the Model Course 2.03 and STCW 2010 A-VI/3. 

Course participants will be competent to take command, organize and train fire parties and control firefighting operations.

The seafarer will have acquired a knowledge of fire prevention and an ability to inspect and service fire detection and extinguishing systems and equipment.

He will also be able to investigate and report on incidents involving fire. 

Content: Knowledge, understanding and proficiency in accordance with IMO Model Course 2.03:

• Control fire-fighting operations aboard ship

• Organize and train fire parties

• Inspect and service fire detection and extinguishing systems and equipment

• Investigate and compile reports on incidents involving fire

Approval: Course is approved by Estonian Transport Agency

On completion of training certificate of training will be issued. For certificate of proficiency an application must be made to the Transport Agency bureau on Heli street 6, Tallinn or though Seafarers Information System.

Instructions for logging in to the online training and a notification about the activation of the training modules will be sent to you by e-mail by Viking Safety Academy on the morning of the first training day from 09.00 to 10.00. Take the online course on your own or at Reval Training Centre, you will need to come to the Reval Training Center for practical training and a written test.
